![]() It was explained to me that you pull on the trigger guard to open it. I looked for a release lever and noticed it had none. I’ve handled heavy recoil in the past, so I didn’t think much of it. I asked to take a look at it and noticed it was a little on the lighter side. One day that all changed, when I ran across the Hatfield single-shot shotgun in my local Walmart. There was always another gun project I had going on at the time, so I always justified them as being less money I have for my other guns. They were great for when me and the guys wanted to do some skeet shooting, because it was always handy to have a spare, but I hadn’t given it much thought. ![]() I have used plenty of single-shot shotguns, but never had owned one before.
